Nuwara Eliya
Sri Lanka's 'Little England' β a cool highland retreat at 1,868m, famous for manicured tea estates, colonial architecture, and misty mountain scenery.
About Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya, nicknamed 'Little England', is a cool highland city at 1,868 metres elevation, built by the British as a hill station. Surrounded by perfectly manicured tea estates, it retains much of its colonial character with Tudor-style hotels, a golf course, horse racing track and English-style gardens. The world-famous Ceylon tea country stretches in every direction.
